Gymleco had a stand of over 200 sqm on FIBO 2022 after having a break for two years due to Covid-19. In the stand, they exhibited both gym machines that are user favorites and new training equipment that has been launched in recent years. FIBO is one of the largest trade fairs for exercise and health and is held every year in Cologne, Germany, but has in recent years been canceled due to the pandemic.
How did it feel to be back?
“It felt very good to be back and extra fun this year as there hasn’t been a fair in recent years. We have managed to make so many new contacts around the world in recent years, so it was fantastic to meet everyone in real life,” says Monica Sotkasiira, CEO at Gymleco.
What did you think of the stand this year?
“What a broad question with many possible answers! But overall, it was important for us to produce a stand that gives a clear image of Gymleco, and I think we succeeded well in creating a stand that was uniform, stylish and exuded quality – just like our equipment! It was also important for us to bring as many favorite machines as possible, so that all visitors could see the uniqueness of our range.”
What stood out most about the fair compared to other years?
“The pulse and atmosphere among all the people that like to exercise was the same, but of course the fair was much smaller than in previous years. Many exhibitors from Asia were missing and even some more well-known companies in the industry were not present. But otherwise, there was a good number of visitors throughout the weekend.”
What happens now after FIBO?
“Of course, there is a lot of work left with FIBO even if the fair is over, but now we are aiming to focus on the construction of our new logistics center, which should be ready by the end of this year. We are looking forward to planning the housewarming party when the logistics center is ready, so it will be like its own Gymleco fair, haha.”
Henry Fingleton, Manager at Elephant Fitness Ireland, was at FIBO and shared his impression of Gymleco’s gym equipment:
“I was very impressed with the training equipment. The engineer in me appreciates how efficient and clever much of the design is. Of all the producers I reviewed at the fair, Gymleco stood out to me.”
